At Russia’s initiative, BRICS is creating a BRICS Grain Exchange and a digital platform to attract investment in special economic zones (SEZs). These projects are aimed at increasing trade turnover and developing sustainable supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Model and structure of this exchange have already been developed; currently working on payment issues, determining the currencies that will be used for settlements, and defining risk hedging and clearing mechanisms. The key task for next year is to determine the technology platform that will perform the main digital functions within this framework and to identify the BRICS exchanges that will connect to this technology platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the “BRICS SEZ Investment Navigator” has been launched \u2013 a digital platform helping investors find the information they need. Its main goal is to help potential investors from BRICS countries find preferential regimes in other partner countries, obtain detailed information on legislation, and obtain information on tax incentives. Furthermore, the resource has become a convenient platform for potential investors to register, submit an application, and become a resident of a particular BRICS special economic zone with just one click.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russia’s trade turnover with the BRICS countries in 2024 amounted to $350 billion (approximately 27 trillion rubles), with exports growing by 11 percent and imports by 4 percent. Earlier, in an effort to increase tourist flow, China and Saudi Arabia abolished visa requirements for Russians.
